Cat Showing with the Best of British Cats
Why do we take our cats to shows? We love attending cat shows! Not only are they are great place to network with like-minded breeders and cat owners, but they are also a great place to receive feedback on our own breeding cats. Presenting our breeding cats to judges at cat shows enables us to get the opinion of experts on the quality of our cats and reassure us that we are "doing right by the breed". Every person who chooses to be a breeder of a pedigree cat has a responsibility to stay true to the breed type and ensure they are producing the best of the breed, whichever breed it is.

Showing Cats
Most people have heard of a dog show, but the majority of people I've met have never heard of a cat show. Cat shows are different to dog shows; the cats are judged but the owners don't run up and down with them in front of the judge ;-)
Now that would just be silly!
We show our cats to receive valuable feedback about the quality of our cats from expert judges. We need their feedback to help us improve our breeding lines and ensure we are on the right breeding path with the males and females we choose. Cat shows also help to increase our own knowledge as breeders and educate us on different qualities to look for, and things to avoid. Its also a way to network with other breeders and gain some friends along the way. Cat shows also enable us to help promote the breed and educate the public about this amazing cat.
