Outstanding Personality
British Shorthair cats are known for their loyal and loving personalities. They are not necessarily a true lap-cat, but enjoy the physical contact of their family. They will often come and sit at your feet, by your side or on the arm of the sofa next to you. They are playful but not a handful, and are not demanding.

Super-soft, plush Coat
The first time you stroke or touch a British Shorthair cat you are sure you just touched a cloud! The BSH cat has a plush, thick, dense coat which makes them the softest cat to cuddle. Fun-fact; they have the most hairs per sq. inch than any other cat!

Most Popular cat Breed in Britain
The British Shorthair cat is the oldest registered breed of cat in Britain. A quarter of all kittens registered with the GCCF (UK cat registry: Governing Council of the Cat Fancy) each year are British Shorthair cats.
